Beer styles: mainly American style ales  

Origin: Calypso is a diploid aroma hop variety originated from cross between Hopsteiner breeding female 98005 and male derived from Nugget and USDA 19058 m. It has pleasant fruity aroma with hint of pear.

Agronomics: 2800 - 3000 kg/ha

Alpha acids: 12.0 - 14.0 %

Beta acids: 5.0- 6.0 %

Co-humulone: 40-42 % of alpha acids

Total oil: 1.6-2.5 ml / 100 grams

Aroma: pear, apple, tropical fruit

Myrcene: 30-45 % of whole oil

Caryophyllene: 10-15 % of whole oil

Humulene: 20-35 % of whole oil

Farnesene: < 1 % of whole oil

Brewing characteristic: variety with pleasant aroma profile

Recommended use and hopping: as pellets type 90, third hopping, dry hopping
